About Tom Boss
Executive Director
Tom gained an appreciation for the outdoors and conservation at an early age and works on many fronts to promote a balanced and inclusive approach to land management and trail development. He was the Off-Road and Events Director at Marin County Bicycle Coalition for over a decade and served on the Board of Friends of China Camp, where he assisted with the development of an annual pass program and volunteer park patrol.
He’s been an effective advocate for recreation for over 20 years and helped create miles of fun and sustainable trail experiences throughout Marin County. When planning a new program or project, he visualizes its successful implementation, then works backwards to build a strategy that will meet stakeholder needs, and address any project challenges. He has a 95% success rate implementing recreation projects that enhance the environment, address social challenges and provide new and inclusive trail experiences for people on foot, bike and horse.
As Executive Director of Redwood Trails Alliance, Tom is proud to serve his community while enhancing outdoor recreation for residents and visitors of Sonoma, Napa and Lake Counties with more trails and better trails!
